Stutzman, Young Put Ideology Over Commonsense By Shutting Down the Federal Government

INDIANAPOLIS – Marlin Stutzman and Todd Young will do whatever it takes to make sure their out-of-touch ideology comes before the well-being of Hoosiers, the state of Indiana, and the entire nation – even if it means shutting down the federal government.

One Congressman couldn’t tell Americans what he wanted from the government shutdown while the other voted repeatedly against reopening the government – that is until Washington establishment directed him otherwise. Both proved to Hoosiers that for them, politics come first and Hoosier Commonsense comes second.

“Hoosiers wanted to see some commonsense in 2013, but instead, they saw a leaders of the Republican Party – including Marlin Stutzman and Todd Young – opt to play politics and put the national well-being in jeopardy,” said Drew Anderson, communications director. “Many Hoosiers were furloughed forcing families to dig into their savings to make ends meet. While Stutzman didn’t know what he wanted from the shutdown, Young simply waited for establishment to give the ‘OK’ before voting to reopen the government. That’s not Hoosier Commonsense. It’s two out-of-touch Republicans running on own agendas rather than working for everyday Hoosiers.”

Let’s elect more Hoosier Democrats
We can't sit this one out.
