INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today issued the following statement by Vice Chair Myla Eldridge to acknowledge Women’s History Month:

“As we commemorate Women’s History Month in March, let us celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and recommit ourselves to fighting for the rights and opportunities of women across our state – and everywhere.

I fully understand the challenges that women face in our society, especially in politics. It is only through our collective voices and actions that we can continue to break down barriers and ensure that all women have a seat and a voice at the table.

It is my honor to also recognize the newly formed Women’s Caucus of the Indiana Democratic Party, which was formally designated by our Democratic State Central Committee in December of last year. Previously, the caucus was in council status in an advisory capacity.

The Women’s Caucus is a vital part of our party’s efforts to promote gender equality and empower Hoosier women. I am proud of the continued growth of our party. Together, we can make a difference.”
