Paid family and medical leave
More than 80 percent of Americans support it. Paid family and medical leave works for working families. First-time parents deserve time to bond with their newborn. Families will need to care for sick loved ones or aging parents. It's time for Indiana to take the lead and pass working family-friendly policies!
Indiana needs a hate crimes law
Indiana is 1 out of 5 states that does not have a hate crimes law on the books. Why? Republican lawmakers have blocked passing this legislation for years. We're not going to stop until every Hoosier is safe and protected under the law. Join us and the majority of Hoosiers that believe hate has no place in our state.
Fight attacks on women’s health care
It's time to fight back against the attacks on women's rights in Indiana and across the country. We believe women and their doctors should be responsible for decisions about their health care, not lawmakers. Sign your name if you're ready to stand up for women's rights. We won't go back.
Protect our health care
Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill is suing to end the Affordable Care Act. As many as 500,000 Hoosiers could lose their health care coverage in the middle of a global pandemic. Sign your name if you believe Curtis Hill should remove himself from the lawsuit to end health care coverage for 500,000 Hoosiers.
Our goal is to restore funding for our public schools, and help facilitate an environment that keeps good, hardworking teachers in districts that need them the most. Further, we will make concerted efforts to invest state dollars in early childhood education and implement universal Pre-Kindergarten so all Hoosier children have a fair start in school by the age of 5.
Democrats have said we will not stop until all Hoosiers, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people, are included in our state’s nondiscrimination laws. Equality is not just a civil rights issue – it is an economic one too. We must show the country that Indiana is a state that welcomes everyone.
Our party is committed to providing our veterans, servicemembers, and military families the benefits they deserve. Our duty to those who serve our nation does not end when they leave that service: we must guarantee that those who serve our nation have access to the health benefits, education and job opportunities we promised to them.
Thank you Congressmen Carson and Visclosky!
Thank you, Congressman Carson and Congressman Visclosky for voting against the GOP's divisive tax bill. Republicans in Congress rammed the bill through without a single Democratic vote. They should do the right thing and engage Democrats to craft real reform. Thank you, for doing the right thing and voting no!
We Need Common Sense Gun Reform
Gun violence is more than the mass shootings we see on the news. It's happening every day in our communities and the stakes couldn't be higher. That's why we are fighting for common sense gun reform and it starts with universal background checks. Sign our petition if you're ready for change and to take action.
Legalize Medical Marijuana
It's simple. 8 out of 10 Hoosiers support legalizing medical marijuana. The benefits for treatment are recognized by 33 other states across the country. It's time Indiana joins them. Sign the petition below to show legislators we are ready to legalize medical marijuana in Indiana.
Pence can’t handle a pandemic
Mike Pence turned his back on evidence-based public health procedures, and it resulted in the largest HIV outbreak in Indiana's history. Now he's tasked with leading the country's response to the coronavirus. Sign your name if Mike Pence is the last person you think should be leading the fight against a potential pandemic.
