ADVISORY: James Carville, U.S. Rep Robin Kelly to Headline Indiana Democratic Party’s Big Dem Weekend on June 17-18 in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today announced it will hold its biennial Big Dem Weekend on June 17-18 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. State convention delegates are expected to formally nominate the Party’s candidates for Indiana’s secretary of state, treasurer, and auditor elections. Additionally, special guests like James Carville (Democratic strategist) and Robin Kelly (U.S. Congresswoman, IL-02) will join leaders like André Carson, Phil GiaQuinta, Greg Taylor, and Joe Hogsett to celebrate how President Joe Biden and Indiana Democrats have delivered a better future for Hoosier families in all 92 counties. 

To kick off Big Dem Weekend, the state party will hold its annual Hoosier Hospitality Dinner at the Indiana Convention Center’s Hall J on Friday June 17. The keynote speaker will be James Carville, the “Ragin’ Cajun” and long-time strategist for the national Democratic Party.

Then on Saturday, Democrats will travel back to the Convention Center for the party’s state convention. U.S. Congresswoman Robin Kelly will deliver the keynote address and state delegates are expected to formally nominate the Party’s candidate slate for the fall elections.
