Join the Decatur Township Democratic Club as we welcome Congressman Andre Carson on August 9.

While the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., there is a free dinner provided by the club and its members at 5:45 p.m. The club meets at the Buffer Park Golf Course Clubhouse, 3825 Foltz Street.

Elected in March of 2008 to fill the remaining term of his grandmother, Julia Carson, Congressman Carson has become a leading progressive voice in Congress. In November of 2008, he was elected by a wide margin to his first full term in office, and he continues to represent the residents of the 7th District with class and a hardworking, never stop attitude.

After Carson speaks, the club will take up a few business matters. The club also invites meeting attendees to bring food or clothing to donate to the George T. Goodwin Center.
