ACTION ALERT: Can you believe it??

Mitch Daniels issued his new year’s resolution today: Shut down free speech.

That’s right.

Daniels, a lame duck governor entering his last year in office, today ordered the Indiana State Police to limit the number of people who can protest at the Statehouse to between 1,000 and 1,500 on a given day.

No such cap has ever existed in the past.

This move comes as the legislative debate over the Governor’s push for so-called “right to work” gets underway next week.

We’ve always known Mitch Daniels didn’t want to hear what hard-working Hoosiers had to say. Now he’s trying to drown us out.

Here’s what we need you to do:

Call 317-232-4567.

E-mail the Governor or contact your legislator.

Complain. Loudly. And assert your rights.

This is America, Mitch. We have a right to peaceably assemble, and we have the right to speak freely.

Just because you don’t like what we have to say doesn’t mean you can keep us away.
