Shot/Chaser: Say And Do Anything Todd Young Flip Flops on LGBT Anti-discrimination Bill

INDIANAPOLIS – Now that he has finished his race to the right for the Republican primary, Congressman Todd Young is returning to his true #YoungsLaw roots. In just one week, Young flip-flopped on an LGBT rights vote, abiding by what his empty suit friends in Washington tell him.

Tennessee Trey: This is the Indianapolis 500

INDIANAPOLIS – While those who are from Indiana understand what the Indianapolis 500 is all about, Tennessee Trey Hollingsworth may not.

So today, the Indiana Democratic Party would like to point Tennessee Trey to the official webpage of the Indianapolis 500. There, he can get the latest news on the 100th running of the race, learn more about the history of the race, and plan future visits to Central Indiana.

Screengrab of the official Indianapolis 500 webpage

We hope this helps, Tennessee Trey! Hoosiers already know you aren’t from here, but like any visitor to the state, we’ll show you some Hoosier Hospitality anyway.

The Greatest Spectacle in Racing: The Todd Young 498

INDIANAPOLIS – From tenderloin sandwiches to Hoosier Hysteria, Indiana is known for its (damaged) Hoosier Hospitality and (crumbling) Crossroads of America. Thanks, Mike Pence!

However, have you heard about the greatest spectacle in racing – the Todd Young 498? Established last February, the Todd Young 498 is for anyone who enjoys cutting corners and blaming others for their faults. Because according to #YoungsLaw, there’s always someone else to blame for our problems.

Do you have a problem with the Todd Young 498? Don’t worry. We’ll just accuse you of some cheap and dirty Chicago-style tactics even when it’s our error for not rounding up to 500.

Vroom! Vroom! Hoosiers – start your engines!

Hoosier Republicans Must Either Condemn or Brace for Donald Trump & His Toxic Campaign

By “supporting the GOP nominee,” Todd Young, Jackie Walorski, Trey Hollingsworth now endorse Donald Trump

INDIANAPOLIS – John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, released the following statement after the Associated Press officially declared Donald Trump the Republican nominee for President of the United States.

“Hoosier Republicans have been making their beds, and they now must lie in it as Donald Trump is the new head of their party. With his nomination, Trump brings a campaign that’s violent and toxic for many Hoosiers, including women, Hispanics, and Muslims. If Trump wins, Hoosiers lose. If profiting from the business that shipped Hoosier jobs overseas doesn’t say enough, Donald Trump is only in this race for himself – and yet, Hoosier Republicans will support him at the expense of their constituents. Hoosiers and the State of Indiana deserve someone better than Donald Trump. It’s time Republican leaders join Democrats and other commonsense Hoosiers in our call to condemn Trump’s candidacy.”

Young, Walorski, and Hollingsworth’s Donald Trump Rooted for the Housing Market Crash

INDIANAPOLIS – Donald Trump proactively rooted for the housing market crash in the late 2000s. As millions of Americans lost their homes to foreclosure, including many Hoosiers, and many more lost their jobs – the presumptive GOP nominee for President cheered this on just so he could turn and make a profit off of the misfortune of hardworking families.

“When millions of families lost their homes and jobs – including many Hoosiers – Trump was ‘excited’ and made it his mission to seek a profit off of others’ misfortune,” said John Zody, Chairman. “When Trump wins, Hoosiers lose. So why do Todd Young, Jackie Walorski, and Trey Hollingsworth still support Donald Trump? Trump is proving to Hoosiers that when there’s a choice between their well-being or making a profit, he will choose money every time.”

This is the same Donald Trump who Todd Young, Jackie Walorski, and Trey Hollingsworth all endorsed for to be the GOP nominee for President. Will they continue to agree with Donald Trump’s divisive and out-of-touch campaign? Or will they finally denounce this toxic message?

BACKGROUND INFO: TRUMP CHEERED ON THE COLLAPSE OF THE HOUSING MARKET

  • In March of 2007, Trump said of the real estate market, “People have been talking about the end of the cycle for 12 years, and I’m excited if it is,” and that “I’ve always made more money in bad markets than in good markets.”
  • In 2006, he said in a Trump University audio book of a housing collapse, “I sort of hope that happens because then people like me would go in and buy.”
  • He noted in the same audio book that, “If there is a bubble burst, as they call it, you know you can make a lot of money.”

The Effects of the Collapse were Devastating

  • The value of real estate owned by U.S. households fell by $7.1 trillion between 2007 and 2009.
  • Median household wealth fell in the U.S. by 28% between 2005 and 2009. [Inflation-Adjusted? Apples to Apples] Median wealth decreased by 66% among Hispanic households and 53% among black households.
  • By February 2010, U.S. employment had declined by 8.8 Million.
